The Balloon Classic

What a fantastic week for the Indianola Balloon Classic. This is one of my most favorite things to do in the summer. We ususally see the balloons at least 3 times during the week. We succeded in doing that this year! We went to see the balloons on 8/1 at Darrah's house. Then again on Wednesday 8/5 (this time we went to the field with Ken and Ronna)... it was the mass night glow...beautiful! We went over to the Knolls balloon, and Avery got in it for a pic. We went to Darrah's on Thursday 8/6 with Van Allen teachers, and the kids played. Avery really enjoys playing with Logan and Meleana. Once again, lots of FUN!!

We left Friday at 4pm and headed to Clearance MO for Randy's 50th Birthday Party. Bub and his family were there, and it was nice visiting all of them. I haven't seen him in forever! Then we went to Mom and Dad's. Mom had to work on Saturday, but we went over to see Ma and then to Subway for lunch. Mom met us at WalMart later and we got all of Avery's school supplies...she is ready for school!!! Mom and Dad took Avery downtown to run around in the fountain, while Tracy and I had a date night at the movie theatre. We saw Funny People with Adam Sandler and The Purposal with Sandra Bullock. Our favorite was The Purposal... very funny! We had a great date night.

We left early Sunday morning and went to Ken and Ronna's. Tom's family was in town and we had a mini Hall reunion at Ken and Ronnas. We had a nice time. Jenny is pregnant and due Sept 21. She is having another girl, she looks great, and Raegan is adorable! We had a great time.

The weekends seem to fly by, and another week of work is ahead. This week should be a little bit less hectic.. hopefully. Our plan is to stay home all week, and get some housework done. We are on the go a lot. Avery will be starting Kindergarten soon, and she will need to get on a much needed routine... I cannot believe she is old enough to go to school... oh my goodness!!!

**Avery is so funny! She just loves hanging out with us. She told us that she would never marry, because she wants to live with us forever. I am sure when she is 18, her tune will have changed, but I do love the innocence of a child. She also keeps giving us the peace sign and saying Deuces... she is something else!
